Historic 1909 Mitchell Mill is restored as an adaptive dwelling on a 3.5 acre property .The restoration of this beautiful post and beam structure has been a 30+ yr effort. 3694 sq ft., a new, one-bedroom, full bath mother-in-law suite with private entrance. Rich, amber 120-year old heart pine floors in the main house along w/ massive posts and beams. Interior walls are not load bearing , rooms can be adjusted. In 1985, a well was drilled to supply the house. The result is a high-yield, artesian water source. Upon mapping the well, the US Geological Survey Team determined that pressurized water was emanating from an aquifer of some size through a crack at the bottom of the bore hole. The free flow volume was estimated to be around 342 gal per min. 35-yrs later, the well still supplies the domestic water supply requiring no pump and supplying thermal energy for the heat pumps. No restrictions. No HOA. Boat dock provides access to the creek above the spillway as bass and catfish abound.
